The STERIBUD gas dehorner is a portable, economical and efficient dehorner designed for dehorning calves and goat kids. With a choice of different tips available, it can easily be adapted to the age and type of animal.
Compact and lightweight at only 530 grams, the STERIBUD features an ergonomic pistol-grip design for a secure grip and comfortable handling. It is supplied with a robust storage case, providing convenient storage and transport while protecting the dehorner when not in use.
Unlike dehorners that require specific gas cartridges, the STERIBUD dehorner features an integrated refillable butane tank. It can be easily refilled with standard lighter gas, eliminating the need to purchase expensive replacement cartridges. Refilling takes only 20 seconds and provides up to 45 minutes of operating time.
Its automatic Piezo ignition makes the dehorner quick and easy to start, while the adjustable gas flow allows the heat output to be controlled during use. The dehorning tip can reach a maximum temperature of 650°C.
The STERIBUD can be fitted with several interchangeable dehorning tips depending on the application:
– 12.5 mm: for dehorning goat kids from 4 days to 3 weeks old
– 15 mm: for dehorning calves from 1 to 3 weeks old
– 18.5 mm: for dehorning calves from 4 to 8 weeks old
